This is my easel daddy long legs - "legs" from here on out. He is situated in what Chuck used to call "that winter light" which I thought I would never see out here in the land of never-winter, but there it is... blue, very blue.

Today is Christmas eve and I am still in San Diego due to the weathers magnificent portrayal of a virulent travel scrooge in the Ohio Valley exactly where I was going to land...
So I went to the beach to paint to let it know I was only humbled by its theatrics, not wholly deterred or defeated!
This little seal barked out from the rocks and scampered into the water right beside my easel!

Carlsbad Beach on the 10th of October
It is Fall... During the day its 72° and at night, just alittle cooler than last week, but the light is a loudmouth - blabbing the news, "falll, fall, FALL!" Its more blue and yellow - its a more sneeky light, a shimmer that just cant get rid of that violet stain... (that exact stain seems to be missing from my sweet little paint box - perhaps an upgrade...)
The color on the side of the lifeguard pod came out pretty darn like it looked, but the sky was not that green!

grinning
This is just to prove that I still sew... She was inspired by Molly at Doll Street delightfully replying to my grousing about everything including my always grinning friend with Oh no! Not something with a constant grin!!! Eeeee I just couldn't take it " which of course made me grin and the grousing was suddenly avian history.
